For those of you that don’t know, Balenciaga recently released a 1700 € new bag that is suspiciously similar to IKEA's 'Frakta' nylon tote (0,90 €). That's why after the tremendous media hype, Swedish furniture giant, added an advert comically giving customers 'tips' to identify an authentic Frakta Ikea bag.

It is well known that Balenciaga's creative director, Demna Gvasalia, frequently draws inspiration from streetwear and famously designed the popular Yellow DHL T-Shirt (245 €) for Vetements in 2016.

In both the above cases, high fashion borrows the styling of street style; however, trends usually filter down from the runway into affordable street versions.
